Casino creates 19 new jobs in venue relaunch
NINETEEN new jobs are to be created after bosses of Grosvenor Casino Huddersfield, announced a £350,000 refurbishment.
The hospitality industry was hit hard for 18 months during the pandemic but that is firmly in the past and construction is under way to refurbish the casino at Folly Hall Mills, near Lockwood.
The idea is for it to develop into an all-round entertainment experience and destination for people wanting to enjoy good times with friends and family.
And sports fans will be able to look forward to watching their favourite events 24 hours a day on three giant 82 inch screens.
The venue is also launching a new food and drinks menu with live entertainment expected to return from November in time for party season.
The casino which first opened in 2002 will relaunch with an event open to all on Friday, October 22, featuring a Q&A with rugby league legends.
While the club will continue to be open during the refurbishment, guests can look forward to the following features as part of the upgrade:
Live sports viewing with live sport betting with three 82-inch screens showing sporting fixtures 24 hours a day from Sky Sports HD, BT Sport HD, and Premier Sports.
A stylish bar and restaurant hosting a delicious new menu. New spacious area for guests to play their favourite slot machines.
Installation of a premium new roulette and card table.
