HOGG BACK ...and Colwill set to return too to boost Town for Hull clash

- By DAVID HARTRICK

THE Terriers have offered good news in regard to Jonathan Hogg’s availability for Saturday’s game against Hull.

The midfielder had been unavailable for the last two games of Huddersfield Town’s fine start to the season after picking up an abdominal injury against Swansea.

Now he has returned to full training and is expected to be fit to start if called upon this weekend.

Levi Colwill is expected to return to full training this week after having to pull out of England’s Under-21 squad with an injury to his left ankle.

Like Hogg, the young Chelsea loanee has missed Town’s last two fixtures but his return will be a huge boost to Carlos Corberan after such an impressive start to life in the Championship.

Hogg’s deputy initially, Alex Vallejo has also been working back from a knee injury sustained against Blackburn in Town’s 3-2 win. While there is no current return date, he is being ‘functionally progressed’ and is not expected to be out long-term. Ryan Schofield’s back injury is still being assessed but the young keeper is apparently training only via gym work currently.

Aaron Rowe’s toe injury is still ongoing and he is working with a specialist to ensure the speediest recovery possible, but there is no return date set for him either.

With Hogg and Colwill both likely back this weekend, the Terriers will be happy with the break international football has afforded them.

There was also good news on both of Town’s long-term first-team injuries as Jordan Rhodes and Pipa are well into their rehabilitation.

Neither has a return date yet, but Rhodes has ‘progressed to being back out on the grass’ as his recovery from a stress injury to his back is carefully managed to avoid any setbacks

Pipa is ‘progressing well’ and hopes to be back in full training next month as his recovery continues to ‘progress as planned.’
