‘Dangerous’ biker pulled wheelie near police station
ACTION CONDEMNED BY MOTORIST WHO CAUGHT STUNT ON DASHCAM
A MOTORCYCLIST was caught on dashcam pulling a wheelie near Huddersfield police station.
Driver Ian Lockwood was waiting at traffic lights at the top of Outcote Bank when two motorcyclists passed in front of him on the ring road.
One of the bikers pulled a long wheelie as they rode by. Ian wasn’t impressed by it, calling it dangerous as well as illegal.
Ian described the biker as riding like the former stunt performer Eddie Kidd. Kidd was tragically badly injured in an accident in 1996.
Ian, who captured the biker on his dashcam, said: “I don’t think public roads are a safe place to be doing such things. It’s not their safety I’m thinking of but other road users – if they’re going to do that then how else are they going to ride.”
He added: “It’s dangerous and illegal. (It happened) past the police station, the top of Outcote Bank.”
