TV star hits out at critics over her outfit choice

- By MEGAN SHAW

OUR Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has come under fire recently after critics accused her of dressing ‘inappropriately’ for her farming duties with many saying her new found fame has seen her switch her farming attire for a more glamorous look.

However, the Yorkshire Shepherdess has hit back at critics as she vows to continue wearing show-stopping outfits despite the backlash.

The mum-of-nine was previously hit with a fierce backlash for wearing a pair of stilettos and a bodycon dress last year, however, the 47-year-old insisted at the time ‘it’s still all about the farm’ as she said her occasional glam appearance doesn’t stop her from being a shepherdess.

The comments came in July last year when Amanda shared snaps on Instagram wearing a figure-hugging long sleeved black dress, the post sparked a frenzy as the comments section was flooded with criticism for the farming reality TV star.

In more recent times Amanda is gearing up to headline The Game Fair next month in a new move away from Ravenseat Farm.

Asked about what visitors can expect from her the best-selling author did not hold back – Amanda quipped: “Big earrings, inappropriate clothing and plain speaking. Whatever they expect I won’t be it.”

The Yorkshire Shepherdess is headlining at The Game Fair this year, she will be creating a farmhouse breakfast menu for the restaurant, mingling with diners, appearing on stage in the cookery theatre as well as being interviewed in the chat show style Game Fair Theatre.

The three-day event which is being held at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire gives fans the opportunity to meet Amanda.

It comes shortly after the Huddersfield-born star announced her split from husband, Clive, after 22 years of marriage, Amanda broke the news on her Instagram account on Thursday, June 9, in an emotional statement, however, she reassured their army of fans that they would ‘continue to work on the farm and co-parent their nine children together.’

Fans later voiced their concern over the future of their family show but Channel 5 confirmed they will continue to work with the family in the future.
