Awards celebrated hero health workers
‘FANTASTIC NIGHT SHOWCASING THE VERY BEST OF WHAT WE DO...’
MORE than 200 staff came together to celebrate the work of a health trust which covers Kirklees.
South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust held its annual Excellence staff awards which recognise the difference that individuals and teams – both clinical and non-clinical – make to the lives of local people.
Across 11 categories, rising stars, unsung heroes and teams improving health and care and working in partnership were recognised at the ceremony held at Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield.
The categories also included a ‘chair and chief executive award,’ where a winner from all shortlisted finalists was chosen by chair Marie Burnham and chief executive Mark Brooks.
The Trust provides community, mental health and learning disability services to the people of Kirklees, Calderdale, Barnsley and Wakefield, and medium secure (forensic) services to Yorkshire and the Humber.
Marie Burnham said: “Excellence represents all that is outstanding about our Trust. Everyone reflected all the improvements, positive changes, and person-centred care we have delivered over the past year.
It was a fantastic night showcasing the very best of what we do for the people in our local communities.”
Chief executive Mark Brooks said: “It was a pleasure to welcome our staff to what was a very proud night recognising our teams and individuals. There is so much incredible work going on in our Trust every day and our Excellence awards served as a reminder and recognition of the difference our staff make.”
