Win number three looms for Hull against Wilmslow

-

HULL host newcomers to National Three Wilmslow tomorrow looking for their third victory of the season.

Wilmslow have won one match against Vale of Lune and lost two others narrowly and will be keen to make an impression on a Hull side that beat the early pace-setters,

Blaydon last week.

Hull were good value for their win as they improved their lineout and defended well against a good, attacking side.

Hull welcome Rob Watt for his first game of the season at scrum-half as Harvey Harding is unavailable.

The backs will be without their top scorer from last season Stephen Hihetah and the back division will have a new look as fitness tests on centres Keana Naylor and Ben Winterburn will determine if they can play a part.

Centre/off-half Steve Johnson returned last week and showed up well when he came off the bench and will be in the mix. Whichever combination takes the field Hull will have a back line that will test their opponents from the Manchester area.

The pack had a good afternoon at Blaydon and the injury to back row forward Tom O’donnell gives another opportunity to Will Hall or Joe Martin to play in the back three.

Prop Don Hardman made an impact off the bench and second row Liam Regardsoe returns to give the selectors some options in putting out the best combinations amongst the forwards.

Hull will be hoping to improve some of their tactical decision making and make the most of their scoring opportunities as they will hope to win this home fixture with a little to spare.
