WE got a lot of answers in last week’s penultimate episode, as to who had ordered Megan to be killed and why. It was top businessman Xo, currently in the middle of an election for the top job of chief executive of Hong Kong. He had raped Megan 20 years earlier, leading to daughter Lau. And when Sally in the British Consulate found about it, entirely by accident, she and her smarmy boss Arthur realised this was ideal material to hold over Xo’s head once he was in office.
Poor David had to hear all about how he wasn’t Lau’s biological dad, just before he was shot and killed by Xo’s sinister henchman. Fortunately, David had managed to free the kidnapped Lau first. Now Jonah is searching for the answer as to whether his marriage to Megan was ever anything more than a lie.
