FAMILY and friends will say an emotional farewell to teenager Archie Brown who died after a motorcycle crash in Bransholme.

Archie Brown, 17, was on an off-road bike at around 5pm on Saturday, April 11 and was heading along Castlehill Road when he crashed into a barrier.

Family members and friends visited the scene and left floral tributes during an outpouring of grief.

Now his mum, Jane, has revealed details of Archie’s cremation, which can heartbreakingly only be attended by ten people.

But Jane says there will be a memorial for Archie, which all his family and friends can attend once the coronavirus lockdown rules are lifted.

She said: “I hope that when the world has healed a little we can give Archie Brown a proper send-off.

“We don’t know when this will be, but hope that as many of you that can join us at his memorial, which will celebrate his life and loves … especially the music.”

But wider family and friends can pay their final respects during Archie’s last journey from his home to the crematorium in Chanterlands Avenue in west Hull.

Archie’s cremation will take place at 1.30pm on Friday, which only ten people can attend under the current lockdown rules.

But a family statement says: “Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 there are only ten people allowed in the crematorium.

“We would therefore be really grateful if you would be able to pay your respects along his journey to the crematorium. Archie will leave home at 12.45pm.” Archie will travel down Dunvegan Road and then right onto Howdale Road travelling towards Sutton. He will pass Ennerdale and travel the full length of Greenwood Avenue. He will then go onto Hall Road, then Cottingham Road and finally Chanterlands Avenue.

But Jane is urging people to adhere to the social distancing rules when paying their respects.

She said: “I know lots of people will want to pay their respects, but we urge people to please adhere to social distancing. We want this to be a special day.”
