A MASS brawl in a care home car park, a drunken “fracas” outside a pub and a woman who assaulted two police officers – that was the sorry state of Hull on Super Saturday.
The revelations came revealing a surprising admissions.
Pubs reopened across England on Saturday for the first time since March, with Humberside Police reporting that the day had thankfully passed with “minimal disruption”.
However, some people still took the opportunity to engage in violence and ruin the day for the many who were able to behave themselves on Super Saturday.
In east Hull, a huge pub brawl spilled into a care home car park – a fracas that was branded “crazy” by the care home manager.
More than 30 men had been drinking in the Royal Charter pub in Saltshouse Road, off Holderness Road, and ended up fighting in the car park of Saltshouse Haven care home, just across the road.
Elsewhere, reports surfaced of a mass brawl involving 60 people outside a pub near Boothferry Road, resulting in a man suffering facial injuries.
A woman was also charged with assaulting two police officers during a city centre disturbance in Bowlalley Lane and a man has already appeared in court after he was charged with attempting to rob a woman in Hessle Road. despite hospital bosses drop in drink-related
