- By JAMES O’BRIEN james.obrien@reachplc.com @jamesobhdm

THE dust is still settling on the 2020 season but bookmakers have already started to look ahead to next year.

St Helens and Wigan Warriors contested Friday’s Grand Final and they are joint favourites to win the 2021 showpiece at 9/4 with Sky Bet.

Warrington Wolves are fancied to be right up there again as they continue their pursuit of a first Super League crown, with Steve Price’s side available at 8/1.

Castleford Tigers, Catalans Dragons, Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos can all be backed at 12/1.

FC have dropped back into the pack after being priced at 8/1 this time last year.

Hull KR are expected to struggle again next season, with Tony Smith’s team cut adrift with Wakefield Trinity and Salford Red Devils at this early stage.

Rovers and Wakefield are 50/1 to win the Grand Final, while Salford (66/1) are being tipped for a relegation battle as they begin life without Ian Watson.

Betfred has grouped all three teams together on 66/1 and makes Leeds fourth favourites for the title at 10s.

KR were available at 40/1 as they prepared for pre-season last year.

A longer price can be expected for the 12th team that will be added to the competition next month.

Leeds head into 2021 as the Challenge Cup holders but St Helens, Wigan and Warrington are considered the favourites to lift the trophy in July, with all three teams priced at 4/1 by Sky Bet.

Catalans are next at 8/1 followed by the Rhinos at 10s and Hull at 12s.

Castleford and Huddersfield are available at 16/1, ahead of Wakefield (20/1), Salford (25/1) and Hull KR (33/1).
