Prime Minister ‘extends strict lockdown laws’
ITV, 9pm
PRIME Minister Boris Johnson has given the go-ahead for lockdown laws to be extended, it has been claimed.
According to reports, the extension will allow councils to keep pubs, restaurants and shops firmly shut until July 17.
Lockdown rules were due to expire last week but will now remain active until around the time that schools would normally break up for the summer holidays, the Daily Telegraph claims.
While nothing has been confirmed, the update appears to be an acknowledgement that strict lockdown rules will continue for some time to come.
When the PM announced the third lockdown in England at the start of January, he said that the situation would be reviewed in mid-february but, during a visit last week, he appeared to cast doubt on lifting of restrictions.
AFTER the heart-stopping cliffhanger of the last episode, there’s trauma after Med (Taheen Modak) was brutally hit by a car in the line of duty.
The cop had been getting a little too close to the truth when a car barrelled towards him, then ran back over him for good measure. No spoilers as to whether or not he survives, but needless to say, emotions are running high.
Lisa, played by Morven Christie, continues to investigate the case of the murder of Stephen Marshbrook. As one suspect throws new light on the investigation, Lisa doubts she’s been given the full truth on events from the past.
Meanwhile, with the pressure building at work, boss DI Manning, played by Dan Ryan, attempts to fight for his marriage.
Elsewhere, Lisa finds solace in a place she least expected.
With an intriguing plot and characters to care about, this is a series worth investing in.
