Others will follow our lead in leaving the EU

THE letter in yesterday’s Mailbox from Ted Sawden was one I had to read twice.

He’s just a bit deluded, I think. I’m 73 and, as far as I am concerned, leaving the EU is the best thing we’ve ever done.

As a country, we’ve managed to do deals worth billions of pounds, thanks to Liz Truss.

Before, this would never have happened without permission from the EU.

Many businesses are flourishing and then we have the Covid vaccines.

Perhaps Ted would be better off living over there. Not for me. We need to stay well clear of all the corruption, as more countries will follow our lead.
