BEAL Homes has been awarded a coveted five-star rating by the voice of the homebuilding industry – the only family business in Yorkshire to take the accolade. The Home Builders Federation Star Rating Scheme recognises excellence in customer satisfaction, based on independent surveys of new home buyers in England and Wales.

Hessle-based Beal is one of only four in Yorkshire to make the top tier.

Keepmoat, Persimmon and Strata Homes also made the list, with inward investors Barratt and Vistry also top-ranked.

It is the first time Beal has made the list, described as the number one indicator of industry performance.

Chief executive Richard Beal said: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive this recognition, which is based on extremely positive responses from our customers.

“The feedback is gathered from our new homebuyers entirely independently, so it is especially pleasing that buyers’ views are so complimentary.

“These customers’ experiences justify their decision to buy Beal and provide even more confidence and reassurance to other house-hunters that they will be in good hands with us.

“The quality of service we provide to customers across every aspect of the homebuying experience is our number one priority, so we place great value on this industry accolade.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our buyers and particularly all of those who have expressed how positive they are about the experience of becoming a Beal homeowner.”

Established more than 50 years ago, Beal has grown to become a leading independent housebuilder operating in Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, delivering more than 75 high-quality developments across the region.

It is now developing a third purpose-built head office to handle the expansion, opposite the existing base on Bridgehead Business Park.

Mr Beal said the company prides itself on offering buyers the unique opportunity to completely personalise the layout and features of their new home, working with the housebuilder’s design experts to ensure it suits their lifestyle and tastes perfectly.

Lindsay Carter and Kevin Boyce moved into their four-bedroom home at Beal’s Kings Vale development in Kingswood in February last year, and said they love living there with children Billy, 11, and Ivy, seven.

Lindsay said: “Beal is a cut above the rest in terms of house quality, the finishing touches and communication.

“They kept us updated all the time, they were so friendly and I felt like we knew them by the end of the process. We can’t fault anything – it’s the complete package.”

Beal buyer Deborah Morgan, a librarian, and her husband Professor Trevor Burnard, director of the Wilberforce Institute in Hull, moved into their home in Hull’s Fruit Market urban village four months ago and said their experience was second to none.

She said: “The service is top-notch and every person we’ve dealt with has been friendly, helpful and professional.

In terms of quality craftsmanship, customer care, diversity of the area and the community feel, I would absolutely recommend Beal Homes and living in the Fruit Market.”
