Drivers should know the rules on bus lanes

WHAT is the matter with Hull’s drivers? Have any of them passed a driving test or do Hull’s driving schools not teach proper road skills?

Driving down Spring Bank on Sunday, May 9, I repeat Sunday, I am in the left-hand lane, with queues of traffic in the right, suddenly a car pulls over in front of me from the right lane, no indication, and proceeds to turn left down park street.

The driver looks at me as if I have done something wrong – I even get the proverbial V sign.

So, just to inform all you supposedly good drivers: there are no bus lanes in operation on Sundays.

If you all read the blue signs (as you’re supposed to), you will know the timings when the bus lanes are or are not in operation, so educate yourselves and make yourselves better drivers.

The next time it happens I will not stop and your insurance will get me a new car.
