Hull’s route through the new season

-

HULL FC will have the opportunity to get their own back on the opening day of the 2022 Super League season when they travel to Wakefield Trinity.

Willie Poching’s side embarrassed the Black and Whites on the final day of last season on a night most travelling fans will have been keen to forget.

However, FC head to Belle Vue in round one of the new season and they’ll be hoping for a better result.

Brett Hodgson’s side will follow that opener with two home games against St Helens and Salford Red Devils, with the clash against the champions being shown live on Channel 4.

FC will come up against their old head coach Lee Radford for the first time when they travel to Castleford Tigers in round four, while a trip to Craven Park to face Hull KR awaits on Good Friday.

Hull will go to France twice during the regular season, with the trip to Catalans Dragons scheduled for June 11 and their first ever journey to face Toulouse Olympique coming on July 30.

As revealed earlier in the week, FC will take on the Robins at Magic Weekend in Newcastle in July, but they’ll also bring the season to a close with a derby.

With both clubs aiming for a play-off spot, the stakes could be high on the final day of the season and a home derby is guaranteed to get pulses racing.

The Black and Whites make two journeys to Wakefield and Wigan throughout the season as loop fixtures, while St Helens and Toulouse are the teams that will travel to the MKM Stadium twice.

In total six of Hull’s first 10 fixtures will be broadcast on television, with Sky Sports showing games against Leeds Rhinos, Wigan, Rovers, Warrington Wolves and Catalans.
