BEVERLEY RUFC have unveiled their plans for the new clubhouse extension at Beaver Park.

This is part of the rugby club’s ambitious BP2 project that aims to improve facilities for both members and visitors.

Digital images of the project have been released, showing what the newly renovated clubhouse will look like.

The project is expected to be a multi-year programme, with the fundraising phase being followed by planning design, tendering, selection and then construction, followed by transition and migration phases.

The Chairman of Beverley RUFC, Brian Gilbert said: “The whole committee are excited and committed to the project and although it seems very ambitious, it is definitely within our reach.

“If we get the support from our members, community and partners, and noting that we have already raised £100,000 towards the target, these fantastic plans can be achieved.

“We want to make BP2 the envy of other rugby clubs, but also a facility that is available and used week-in, week-out for lots of diverse clubs and organisations in the community, like it is at the moment, but even more.”

The drawings have been undertaken by Sangwin architects and a representative of a facility that will address car parking congestion and increase the number of changing rooms.

Changing rooms will now have private showers (that stay hot), be environmentally conscious in design, and offer better segregation for different genders.

The new clubhouse will provide a bigger facility that can be subdivided to sustain different uses, have a kitchen that has appliances and scale to suit the demand, and also accommodate disabled access at all levels.

A mood wall has been constructed in the clubhouse which has more imagery and information pertaining to this ambitious project.

Beverley RUFC invites support from members or community organisations that want to be involved in this prestigious development.

In closing, the club wrote: “Beverley RUFC is sincerely determined to put the club back at the heart of Beverley for the whole community to enjoy.

“This facility along with the established culture and atmosphere is the perfect combination for the future of the club.”
