Figueiredo and Woods told they can leave
Hull City will listen to offers for out-of-favour duo Ryan Woods and Tobias Figueiredo this summer as Liam Rosenior looks to reshape his squad ahead of the new season.
Neither Woods nor Figueiredo were included in the travelling party for Monday’s final day goalless draw at Luton Town, with Rosenior opting to include a host of young players at Kenilworth Road.
The experienced pair have been told they can move on from the MKM Stadium this summer, should any suitable offers be received in the coming weeks.
Both were arrivals last term under Shota Arveladze, but head coach Rosenior is keen to make significant changes this summer in a bid to turn City from a mid-table side into one capable of challenging next term, but have struggled for minutes.
Woods has played just 11 minutes in the last 14 games, while former Nottingham Forest defender Figueiredo has fared even worse, playing just 10 minutes since the trip to Watford in the first game back after the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Malcolm Ebiowei and Dimitrios Pelkas will both leave the club after Rosenior decided against pursuing them on longer deals, and a decision on Aaron Connolly will be made in the coming days, with his latest injury setback providing City with concerns.
Alfie Jones is close to signing a new long-term contract to extend his stay at City, and negotiations with Lewie Coyle are continuing but the Mail understands an agreement has not yet been reached.
Though City are braced for interest in star youngster Jacob Greaves, there have been no formal bids yet, since the one from Middlesbrough almost a year ago, which was turned down.
