THE Liberal Democrats are looking to place knowledge and experience at the forefront of policing in Humberside, standing veteran Police Inspector Bob Morgan as their police and Crime Commissioner Candidate.

Bob Morgan lives locally in Beverley and has hands-on experience working his way up the ranks of the metropolitan police, and with the local Liberal Democrat

Team, he wants to make a real impact on tackling crime in the area, guiding our police teams with clear and effective leadership.

Community is central to Bob’s plan to tackle crime in the region. He wants to make sure residents have their say and feel the benefits of his plan to place policing on the right track by prioritising issues the community cares about the most. Bob will:

Support the Hull Lib Dem Crime Prevention Fund. Working to expand the fund that as already seen over 30 successful projects.

Restore community policing. Investing in the front line to ensure the community has more named officers dedicated to specifically covering our area.

Stand up for victims. Ensuring Support for victims of every crime in our area.

Tackle anti-social behaviour. Securing extra enforcement to deal with all common issues from dog fouling to fly-tipping across the region.

Take action on burglaries. Supporting the Liberal Democrat Burglary Response which would ensure every burglary would be thoroughly investigated.

Bob has vast experience and knowledge of policing and local government the region. Born in Beverley, he volunteered to help vulnerable residents and those living with stress working with the NHS and councillors on suicide prevention across the region.

Earlier in his career Bob joined the Metropolitan Police and rose through the ranks to become an inspector around the Paddington Green Area. Bob served over 20 years in the police and, after leaving, he continued working with those in the community.

Bob now wants to take the lead in fighting against crime across the area, where he lives, and the Liberal Democrats believe both his knowledge of the region and experience in policing make him the perfect person for the role.

Bob said: “After years of Labour voting to cut funding that would tackle crime on Hull City Council and years of the Conservatives failing to tackle crime nationally - it’s only the Lib Dem team who have a real plan to tackle crime across the city.

“As a former police inspector, I have real hands-on experience of how to deal with crime in communities. I and the Lib Dem team have a real plan to make Hull a safer place.

“I’m putting forward a clear plan to support the Hull Lib Dem Crime Prevention Fund, take real action on burglaries and listen to local communities. For many years Labour and Conservatives in this role have been invisible to local people - I want to change that.”
