A HULL woman has been looking for the kind person who came to her aid when she suddenly had a seizure while doing her shopping.

Michelle Watts, 47, from the Gypsyville area of west Hull, suffered a seizure in Askew Avenue at around 4pm on Tuesday, April 9. The last thing she remembers before blacking out was going to the shop to buy food.

When she came round in an ambulance, the paramedics said a kind woman had phoned 999 and stayed with her until it arrived.

Michelle hopes to find the good Samaritan to thank them for their help – saying she feels fortunate they were there and did the right thing.

“The ambulance men told me somebody had helped me,” she told Hull Live. “They stayed with me and called the ambulance. I just wanted to say thank you to them for helping me.

“I’m just so glad they were around at the time, to be honest.

“All I can remember is going to the shops. I still had my shopping bags in my hands, the ambulance men said.”

Michelle said she had no history of seizures.

She was rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary where she stayed for 13 hours and had a scan of her brain. At the moment, she still doesn’t know what happened and the cause is still under investigation.

“This is the first time I’ve had one [a seizure] I don’t usually suffer from them,” she said. “I’m still waiting for some tests at the hospital to find out what happened.”

The incident has left her in a lot of pain.

“I haven’t been out since,” she said. “I bit the side of my tongue which makes me talk funny. It’s really sore. My neck is really hurting and my arm. I fell on my head.”
