AMBITIOUS Hull City are eyeing another raid on Premier League giants Liverpool after the success of Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho’s respective loan spells.

The Tigers are said to be keen on bringing another Anfield gem to the MKM Stadium with an eye on giving James Mcconnell the chance to play regular football in the Championship and flourish just as Carvalho and Morton did.

City are braced for a hectic summer of change at the MKM Stadium with a new manager set to be appointed and a flurry of new signings coming through the door, with as many as 10 new players on the list of new recruits to fill the void left by those who have left the club at the end of the campaign.

Mcconnell has become one of Liverpool’s rising stars having made his debut in the 5-1 thrashing of Atalanta in the Europa League group stages back in October, going on to make his Premier

League bow shortly after that in a 3-0 win over Brentford at Anfield.

He made appearances in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley.

Unlike Morton, who spent last season on loan in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers, the 19-year-old former Sunderland academy performer, has only played youth team football with the Reds and fleeting experiences in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team environment, and is said to be the subject of a seasonlong loan bid from managerless City, according to the Sun.

Loan arrivals are set to be another key part of City’s transfer strategy over the course of a summer where the Tigers will bring in between eight and 10 new players.

The Tigers used the system to good effect last term with Morton and Carvalho joined by the likes of Liam Delap, Anass Zaroury, Ryan Giles and Noah Ohio.
