Jarrod Bowen takes giant step towards his Euro 2024 dream

FORMER Hull City star Jarrod Bowen has taken a big step towards being named in England’s squad for this summer’s European Championsh­ips in Germany.

Bowen has been named in Gareth Southgate’s provisiona­l 33-man squad for the Euros after another terrific campaign for the Hammers which saw the ex-city academy graduate notch 20 goals and ten assists in 44 games

Southgate’s provisiona­l training squad will see the Three Lions take on Bosnia & Herzegovin­a at St James’ Park and Iceland at Wembley before he names his final 26-man squad for the tournament by 11pm on June 8.

The 27-year-old, who came through the ranks at City before moving to West Ham from the MKM Stadium in January 2020 in a deal worth £25m, has played 202 times, scoring 60 goals and racking up 39 assists.

Bowen will hope to stay fit and catch Southgate’s eye over the next couple of weeks to make sure he makes the final squad ahead of the first game of the Euro 2024 against Serbia in Gelsenkirc­hen on June 16.

He is the second ex-tigers star in the squad along with Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
