Measure

With an interface similar to the Camera app, instead of taking images, AR technology means that you can tap and drag a line across the object you are measuring on the screen for an instant measurement.

Stocks

You can still effortlessly browse all of the market data at-a-glance, but new ‘spark lines’ have been added to show the performance throughout the day. Also added is business news and ipad compatibility.

An easy-to-use new system that lets you create Siri shortcuts based on your daily routines. Siri will then use GPS and other sensors to know intuitively when to bring up reminders and notifications.

Do Not Disturb

This has been improved to give you more freedom to determine when you receive notifications. You can now disable them for set periods and then decided exactly when you pick them up.

Facetime

You can now video conference with up to 32 people simultaneously and the interface is very slick, enlarging the onscreen tile of whoever is speaker and then shrinking it when someone else starts to speak.

News

A new ‘Browse’ tab allows you to discover new channels and topics and makes it even easier to jump to your favourites. A new sidebar also makes the app much easier to navigate, especially on ipad.

Voice Memos

This app has also been rebuilt to make it easier to use and the app will also be appearing on the ipad for the first time. With icloud support, your memos will also be synced and available across all of your devices.

Notifications

You have more freedom over how these are handled and can even limit notifications from apps that you rarely use straight from the Lock screen. Siri will even recommend disabling notifications from your lesser-used apps.

Photos

An enhanced search function makes it easier to find images quickly and easily and you even get a daily photo digest of recommended filters and photos to share with other people in your images based on facial-recognition.

Screen Time

This feature lets you monitor how you spend your time on your IOS devices and also allows you to set limits and restrictions, not just for yourself but also family members. iphones are great, but they shouldn’t consume your life.

Messages

This app benefits from new Animojis, fully-customisable ‘Memoji’ characters and a wealth of fun new camera effects and filters that you can access straight from the Messages app. Chatting has never been so fun!
