Create themed playlists

1 Click on Library

Click on File > new > playlist (or press Cmd+n) to be taken to the Library section of itunes whereby a new playlist will be created in the left-hand column. Give it a name.

2 Start browsing

Click on the ‘Browse’ section at the top of the itunes interface and then start entering keywords into the Search field in the top-left corner. Here we are searching ‘Latin’.

3 Search results

With clear keywords you can get results in Radio Stations, Playlists, Songs, Albums and Music Videos. For a general soundscape choosing from Radio Stations/playlists is best.

4 Add individual songs

Scroll down to ‘Songs’ and the most popular applicable songs are listed. Click on ‘See All’ for the bigger picture and right-click on a song or hover over it and click ‘…’ .

5 Add to playlist

A small floating menu appears. Highlight ‘Add to Playlist’ and then highlight the new playlist that you created and release to add it. When you’ve finished, click back on ‘Library’.

6 Review and edit

Select your playlist and you can edit the order of the songs by clicking, holding and dragging. You can also tick the box to publish the playlist in your profile and in search.
