How to use Do Not Disturb

1 Access Control Centre

Open the Control Centre by swiping down from the upper-right-hand corner of the screen if you have an iphone X or later (or by swiping up from the bottom on other models).

2 Select the icon

Now look for the Do Not Disturb icon which looks like a crescent moon. You can tap this to turn Do Not Disturb on or off, but to see the range of options, hard-press the icon.

3 Make a choice

You can activate Do Not Disturb for an hour or until the morning, afternoon or evening depending on the current time. You can also keep it on until you leave your location.

4 Work with events

If you have a timed event set in your Calendar, you’ll see an option for that too. Do Not Disturb will remain on until the event finishes. To select any option, just tap.

5 Schedule a time

If you wish, you can schedule a regular Do Not Disturb time slot. Tap the Schedule button to go straight to the Settings page, then turn Scheduled on using the slider.

6 Set the times

Simply use the carousel to select the start and end times and click Back. The feature will automatically activate during those times until you turn it off in Settings.
