Manually adjust effect properties for a unique cartoon look

Extra texture

By combining the new Comic Look effects with an older Sketch effect you can add an extra layer of animated paper texture to your stylised clips.

This helps give the Comic Basic effect a more unique ‘hand-drawn’ look.

Copy and paste

You can spend a lot of time customising a Comic effect’s look and combining it with other effects and colour adjustments. Fortunately, you can copy the look of one clip and paste all the effects onto another.

Comic Collection

You’ll find a new collection of comic book-style effects in the Comic Looks section of the Effects browser. All of these effects can be modified in the Inspector to create a range of custom cartoon looks.

Ink effects

You can mimic hand-drawn ink outlines around the edge of contrasting objects by modifying the three Ink sliders in the Video Inspector. This helps sell the rotoscoped cartoon look.
