Force a restart

The normal way to power off an iphone does not reset everything and a forced restart has a greater effect and can fix certain problems with IOS. On iphone 8 or later, tap Volume Up, then Volume Down, then press and hold the sleep/ wake button until the Apple logo appears. On iphone 7, press and hold Volume Down and sleep/wake.
