While exploring my iphone Settings app recently I noticed ‘Emergency SOS’. What is this?

This is a handy feature that lets you contact the emergency services quickly and easily if you get into trouble and need urgent help. The feature is enabled permanently, but the Emergency SOS section in Settings allows you to trigger additional options, such as ‘Auto-call’ and ‘Countdown Sound’. Both of these options should be turned on, the reason for which we will outline here.
