I have heard that it is possible to create your own personal dynamic desktop in macos Mojave. How is this done?

This process involves taking a photo (or photos), duplicating it several times and then using the built-in colour-adjustment tools in Preview to darken the first image and then making your series of copied images progressively lighter to reflect the light cycle of the day. These images are then stored in a folder that can be accessed in your Desktop & Screen Saver System Preferences and used as a dynamic desktop.
