The Wi-fi on my old imac is very temperamental and when I sometimes turn it off by clicking on the menu bar icon it doesn’t connect to any of my networks when I turn it back on again. Is there a way to disconnect from certain networks without turning the Wi-fi off completely? Paul Childs
We feel your pain, as we have experienced similar problems with older Macs. By clicking on the Wi-fi menu bar icon you’ll see options to turn the Wi-fi off or join another network. However, by holding down the ‘Option/alt’ key and then clicking on the Wi-fi icon you will be presented with a much larger list of icons. One of these options allows you to disconnect from the current network. You can also request a Wi-fi diagnostics report.
