Hide icons with Makeovr
1 Take a screenshot
Hold down an icon and then swipe to the final blank screen on the right. Take a screenshot and head to makeovr.io in Safari. Tap ‘Start MAKEOVR’ and ‘Upload’ in the next screen.
2 Select and share
Now tap on any icon in the grid and then tap the share icon. Choose ‘Add to Home Screen’ and leave the title blank. The icon will now be added to the Home screen.
3 It’s invisible!
If you select the correct icon for the location on your Home screen background you will have an invisible space. The more you add, the more creative spaces you can use on your screen.
5 It’s installing!
Tap ‘Done’ and let the installation process continue. It may take some time; if it takes too long go to your Home screen and it should still be installed.
6 A new look
The new theme will display immediately with only the Dock icons unchanged. You can move these from the Dock and replace them with the themed icons.
7 Hide the originals
Hide the original icons in a folder on the last Home screen page to keep the look of your new Home screen uniform. The fiddling about will be worth the effort.
8 Going back
Remove the themes easily by going to Settings>general>profile and deleting each of the profiles that you have installed. The Home screen will change instantly.
