Create documents with Dropbox

Dropbox is no longer content to be just a repository for documents that you make elsewhere, it now has a service called Paper in which you can create and store documents in the cloud. Here we’ll show you how to create a new document and explore some of the cool features that Paper offers.

1 Create a new doc

From the Dropbox menu bar item, click on the ‘Open Dropbox Paper’ icon at the top and a new web page will be opened in Paper. Simply click on ‘Create Paper doc’.

2 Format text

Give your document a title and start writing. Highlight text and a picker tool will appear. This includes formatting options as well as tools like bullet points and to-do lists.

3 Insert images

Click on a blank line and an additional picker tool will appear. Select the picture icon to insert an image. Once added, click the image to see various layout options.

4 Set a timeline

The good thing about Paper is that it is designed to be a community effort. You can add comments and set your team a timeline of action points that they can add to.

5 Share and collaborat­e

Highlight text or elements on the page and click on the tick box icon to create and assign tasks to members of your team. Add their names or emails and they will receive instant notificati­ons.
