Call from your Mac

If you have an iphone then you can save time fumbling around for your handset by making calls straight from your Mac. Here we show you how to set up and use this handy feature to help you multitask during your busy working day.

1 Enable the settings

Ensure your Mac and iphone are on the same Wi-fi, and then, on your iphone, go to Settings>iphone>calls On Other Devices and make sure this feature is turned on.

2 Set up Facetime

Now, on your Mac, open Facetime and go to Facetime>preferences>settings and make sure that the ‘Calls From iphone’ box is ticked. Now you’re all set.

3 Making a call

Now in Facetime, click on the handset icon next to a contact and a menu will appear. Choose ‘Facetime Audio’ and a call console will appear in the top-right corner.
