Reset the NVRAM
Traditionally a quick-fix for any Mac ailment, zapping the PRAM – or rather nowadays the NVRAM – is relatively easy and can help with the general running of your Mac beyond your Wi-fi problems. To carry out this task, shut down your Mac and then hold down the cmd+alt+p+r keys before pressing the power-on button. Keep them held for about 20 seconds (or until you hear a second chime).
