Customise the iphone’s call settings
1 Call with Siri
Instead of typing numbers or searching for contacts, just ask Siri to call people. Say, ‘Hey Siri,’ or long‑press the Home button and say, ‘Call...’ followed by their name.
4 Listen to music
Plug earphones in and you can listen to music during a call, which is handy when you are on hold for ten minutes. Press Home, tap ‘Music’ and select a track. Only you hear it.
2 Call on speaker
Siri can do more than just call contacts; it can direct the output to where you want it. For example, say, ‘Hey Siri, call Bob on speakerphone,’ or whoever the name is.
5 Dial extensions
Automatically dial an extension after calling someone. Open the contact and tap ‘Edit’. After their number, tap +*# and press Pause or Wait, then the extension.
1 Auto-answer calls
If your hands are often dirty and you don’t want to touch your iphone, go to Settings>general>call Audio Routing>auto‑answer Calls and turn it on.
3 Hide your number
When you call someone your number appears on their screen, but it can be hidden. Type #31# on the keyboard followed by the number. The call will be displayed as private.
6 Custom responses
When you don’t have time to pick up, use a custom text response. Go to Settings> Phone>respond With Text. Tap a response and change it to your own text response.
2 Always use speaker
Another tip is to always answer calls on the speaker. Go to Settings>general>
Call Audio Routing and select ‘Speaker’ and you can auto‑answer calls on speaker.
