Help! I recently deleted some photos off of my iphone by mistake, is it possible to recover them?

Don’t worry, all is not lost. We’re presuming that your photos don’t automatically back up to your icloud account, in which case you should be able to retrieve them from within the Photos app itself.

There is a handy ‘Recently Deleted’ folder within the Albums section of Photos for this very purpose. If you accidentally select the wrong photo in a batch delete, for example, then you can get it back instantly.

1 Open Albums

Launch your Photos app and then tap on the ‘Albums’ icon at the bottom of the interface. Scroll right down until you see the ‘Recently Deleted’ section.

2 Select image

Browse through the recently deleted images and then tap to select the one you want to restore. When it has been ticked, tap the ‘Recover’ button.

3 Restore image

Tap the ‘Recover X Photos’ prompt to confirm and the deleted images will be instantly restored to your photo library as if nothing ever happened. Simple!
