SHIFT THE KEYBOARD

If you need to type emails on your iphone then you can make the keyboard more accessible when typing one-handed by long-pressing on the keyboards icon (the sphere) and choosing a new layout.

QUICK DOMAINS

Rather than typing out domain names, just press and hold the full stop key and a list of common domain name endings will appear for selection.

CREATE SHORTCUTS

If you type the same phrases repeatedly, save time by going to Settings>general>keyboard>text Replacement and add text shortcuts by tapping the ‘+’ icon.

SPEAK DON’T TYPE

You can dictate speech by tapping on the microphone icon to the left of the spacebar, and your words will be transcribed as you talk. Tap the keyboard when you have finished.

ALTERNATIVE CHARACTERS

You can long-press on keys to access alternate characters. For example, do this on the ‘£’ symbol and more currency symbols will appear for selection.
