See air quality info in IOS
1 Get the forecast
Open the Weather app on the iphone and a familiar view greets us. The weather for the next few hours runs across the screen and for the next few days down the screen.
4 Map and forecast
Just as you can get hourly weather forecasts, swipe up to see a map and hourly air pollution forecast. As spring and summer approach, this will worsen. Keep an eye on it.
2 See air pollution
Swipe up to see the how much air pollution is in your immediate area. This varies with your location, the time of year and the weather.
5 Check for pollen
Tap the Pollen tab and each sub-tab, Trees, Weed and Grass, to see if there are problems for hay fever sufferers. The Pollen is highest between March and September.
3 Go to Breezometer
Tap the link below the air pollution bar: ‘More data from Breezometer’. A window opens to show data from the Breezometer website, like air pollutants.
6 Tips and advice
Both Air Quality and Pollen tabs have health tips and info. Swipe up to see it. Tap each of the sub-tabs to see the details: General, Asthma, Children and Elderly.
7 Dominant pollutant
Swipe up on the Air Quality tab to see what you’re breathing right now. The dominant pollutant is shown. To find out what the symbols mean, tap ‘Learn more’.

Map air quality
Open Apple Maps to see the AQI (air quality index) in the bottom-right corner. If you are planning a trip or holiday, show the location in Maps and check the air quality.
9 Maps forecasts
Long-press on the air quality index to see a mini forecast and air quality index for the current maps view. Use it to check the weather and pollutants where you travel.
