The acronym GIGO – Garbage In Garbage Out – certainly applies to the art of photograph­y. If you shoot compressed HEIF photos they may feature compressio­n artifacts such as jagged bands of colour

(instead of a smooth graduated sky). For good results go to Settings>camera>formats and choose ‘Most Compatible’. For the best results use the Apple PRORAW setting (if you have an iphone 12 Pro).
