Aspect ratios

Different video recording devices produce clips with different shapes

(or aspect ratios). imovie tends to enlarge all clips to fill the HD (1080 x 1920) frame, but this can result in some of the clips’ edges being cropped. To see an entire clip – such as our supplied 640 x 480 ‘Jumpcuts’ – click ‘Cropping’ and then click ‘Fit’.
