It is possible to insert a photo into an email in the same way as scanned documents. What is the difference between a photo and a scan? Both use the iphone’s camera to take a photograph, but a scanned picture uses a bit of artificial intelligence to clean up the image before passing it back to the Mac, making it more useful for that specific purpose. You can still attach a photo to an email though, and he we’ll show you how that is done using your iphone and also how to add multiple files to the same email.

1 Insert photos

Choose to insert a photo into an email instead of a scan and the whole picture is saved, which includes the background around the edges of the image. It is a raw, unprocessed scan, but may be OK.

2 Multiple documents

After scanning one document, the iphone looks for another. Put a new document or page in front of it. The Save button shows the number of pages scanned and multipage scans appear in emails as an icon.
