Insert document scans into emails
1 iphone options
Open Mail and create a new email. Write a brief message and set the cursor on a blank line. Go to the File menu and then click Insert from iphone>scan Documents.
2 Waiting for iphone
A little pop-up message box tells you to scan a document with your iphone. There is no need to unlock your iphone, the screen wakes and the camera app is ready to shoot.
3 Scan a document
Place the document on a contrasting background so it stands out. Move the iphone until the whole document can all be seen. When it is right, it is automatically captured.
4 View the scan
The scanned document appears in the email. Check that it is OK and delete it and try again if it is not. Move the mouse over the scan, click the arrow then select ‘Markup’.
5 Annotate the scan
Use the markup tools to annotate the document, such as by highlighting sections that are important or interesting, adding comments and so on. Then click ‘Done’.
6 Send the document
The scanned image in the email is updated with the annotations and it is ready to send. Check the message size and if it is not too big (>10 MB), click the Send button.
