Shelves and Smart Shelves
Everything is added to Anybuffer’s Inbox. Photos can be moved to the Photos shelf, but that’s it. Organise the items by creating a Shelf or Smart Shelf. A shelf is basically a folder and if you have used folders and smart folders in Finder, Anybuffer works exactly the same way. Use a shelf to organise items into categories, projects or whatever is useful to you. Use a smart shelf to create virtual folders that contain items based on certain criteria.
1 Add a shelf
Make sure the sidebar is visible by clicking the button next to Inbox. Go to File and New Shelf is like a folder in which you can store items. Select ‘New Smart Shelf’ to create a virtual folder.
2 Define the criteria
A Smart Shelf shows items that match certain criteria, such as containing text or in a date range. Clear the ‘Any Date’ checkbox and select one of the options. Name it and select an icon afterwards.
