Podcast show settings in detail

Keep recent episodes

We saw this in step 4 of the tutorial. Use it to either limit the number of downloads or to keep them only for a certain length of time. Select ‘Custom Settings’ below for more options.

Downloads on/off

Select ‘Custom Settings’ above and then tap ‘Download Episodes’ here. Choose from three options on the next screen, Off, Only New and All Unplayed. This overrides Settings>podcasts> Download Episodes.

Auto-delete episodes

When a downloaded podcast episode has been played, there is no point in keeping it on the iphone using up valuable space. Remove it by turning ‘Delete Played Episodes’ on. It overrides Settings>podcasts.

Limit downloads

If you choose to download podcast episodes, avoid downloading all of them at all costs! They use too much storage. Tap here and limit them to a number or length of time, like a week or two.
