Let important callers through

When Do Not Disturb is activated you will not receive any alerts, notifications or calls. You can, however, ensure that some people can still contact you by opening the Contacts app, finding the person you want to allow through and tapping Edit. Select Ringtone and you’ll see an option at the top of the screen named Emergency Bypass. Turn this on to enable that person to reach you.
