6.2 miles is possible
1 Grab an app
Search for ‘10k’ and you will find many different apps offering to help you to train to the magic 6.2 miles. For this tutorial we will use Run 10K, which includes a Watch app.
2 Set it up
Upon opening the app, make sure you allow full Health access, notifications and location services when the app is running. These are all crucial for real-time updates.
3 Time to run
You can now start your first run from the iphone or the Apple Watch by tapping ‘Start’. You’ll see a countdown alongside visual and Watch audible instructions.
4 Check the data
On the Apple Watch screen you will see your pace, distance and an overall countdown to the next stage. Check these regularly to understand where you are.
5 Keep going
Be prepared for multiple sectors, but you have the reassurance that the Apple Watch will notify you of what is to come. The system works perfectly throughout.
6 Stop and go
You can pause the run at any time and restart using the large buttons on the Watch face. Try to avoid doing this too often, but it will be necessary from time to time.
