Missing just one bill payment, even a small one, can have a dramatic effect on your credit score, and if it happens more than once it can take a long time for your score to recover. There are many obvious reasons to ensure that your bills are paid on time (and if possible on a yearly basis), which is why an app like Bill Express can be worth the small asking price time and time again. It will save you time, lots of money in potential late fees and it will also give you peace of mind.

1 A simple setup

When you first open Bills Express you will be presented with a very simple interface. Get familiar with it and then click the ‘+’ icon to add a new bill.

2 Add a bill

In the small panel that appears enter a description, amount and select a date. Add a category and a repeating frequency to speed up future entry and analysis.

3 Coming together

As you enter bills the app will build a picture of your expenditure. The total due is shown at the bottom and the imminent amount to pay is highlighted in red.

4 Flexibility is included

Click ‘Pay’ next to any amount and you can pay a bill instantly. This gives you the flexibility to note down every payment and update the remaining balance.

5 Repeating bills

It is important to enter reoccurring bills accurately as they will be displayed every week, month or year to help you budget for the future in an efficient manner.

6 Back it up

You will likely spend a lot of time initially building up your bills database, so make sure you take advantage of the Backup option in Preferences.
