Converting a bedroom created the ultimate family bathroom
HOW KAT DID IT
‘The bathroom was part of a full-on renovation project, including a side and rear extension and a loft conversion. The existing bathroom was small and we wanted the luxury of something much bigger, with a walk-in shower and free-standing bath, so we decided to convert one of the bedrooms, and turn the old bathroom into a laundry room. As we were doing up the whole house we enlisted designer Lizzie Green (lizziegreen.com), who was recommended by a friend. We wanted her to help us create an elegant but practical space and she presented us with various product options and colour choices to help us develop the scheme. We both dislike clutter, so having good storage was key. It cost £11,000 and took four weeks to complete. We’re thrilled with the result.’
