Rosehill Lodges, Cornwall
Situated on the north Cornwall coast, between Newquay and St Ives, Rosehill Lodges are a hidden
gem. Buried deep in the woods, yet only a ten-minute walk from the beach at Porthtowan, there are ten lodges, of which six are dog-friendly. Constructed with locally sourced timber, and with sustainable bamboo flooring and grass roofs, they stay cool in summer and warm in winter.
The lodges are on the South West Coast Path so you can set off in either direction along the coast. Mid-may to September there’s a timed dog ban on Porthtowan beach (10am-5pm), but there is ample room to play with your pooch on the dunes behind. Dogs are permitted all year round on nearby Lushington Beach.
The Rosehill Valley is a delight for bird watchers, as are nearby Hayle Estuary and Godrevy Head.
