YOUR BEST DECORATING DECISION? Painting our bathroom black, including the ceiling! My decorators (and my mum) thought I was mad but it makes the room look so much bigger. The large mirror helps to bounce around the light so it never feels claustrophobic.

It’s the L-shaped olive green velvet banquette in our kitchen. It was one of the things I was determined to work in from the very early design stages.
