Eco-friendly decorating swaps
While there’s a step away from glitter this year, that hasn’t stopped brands delivering the glamour. Paper decorations are a big trend and they’ve been given a grown-up colour swap. In place of pastels or primaries, we’re seeing chic tones of sage, olive, blush and beige at Rockett St George and Rose & Grey. Dunelm’s Tropics collection in rich jewel tones features paper fans and over-sized decorations that prove glitz isn’t required for a dramatic look. Paperchase has made an eco pledge for zero-glitter products and plastic-free gifts in crackers, with Wilko following suit – all wrapping paper and paper tableware are from responsible sources and fully recyclable.
